Rules & FAQ

🌸 What is Sakurathon?

Originally, Sakurathon was a 1-day event that took place in 2015 & 2016. It fused with the 2017 edition of Rinharuweek, and then ended up lying dormant until The Night Pool brought it back as a 2-day event in 2023. This year Sakurathon is coming back for a 5th edition.Come join us for a fun-filled weekend — celebrating all things Harurin/Rinharu involving cherry bossoms — on April 26th & 27th, 2025!

🌸 How can I join the celebration?

Join us by creating any Harurin/RinHaru fanwork involving cherry blossoms — and by any, we really do mean any! Anything goes, including Sakura-kun, the unofficial love child! For written works and fanart, the sky is the limit. 😌 Just make sure to add the appropriate tags/warning & rating when sharing your work! That said, you don't need to be a writer or an artist to join in on the fun. You could also use a real cherry blossom tree — or cherry blossom products — for cosplay or merchandise pictures, come up with a cool recipe, or even make paper petals and origami crafts! AMVs, graphics, manips, and the like are obviously also more than welcome.Lastly, make sure to include the #sakurathon hashtag when posting to social media so we can share it to The Night Pool's account and heap lots of love on it!

🌸 Do cherry blossoms have to be the main focus of my fanwork?

Not necessarily! You can be as subtle or extravagant as you like; ranging from a couple of petals here and there to an entire pool full of them!

🌸 Can I submit older work that I already published elsewhere?

No, sorry! Since this year's edition includes a giveaway with fun prizes to be won, all submitted content should be new and created specifically for Sakurathon.

🌸 How can I submit something?

We have a whole page/FAQ about how to participate/post!

🌸 Can I send in more than one submission?

Yes, of course. There’s no limit!

🌸 Can I include other characters and/or pairings in my submission?

Yes, you can — as long as the main focus is on Haruka & Rin (and they are the endgame pairing).

🌸 Is there a word count requirement for written works?

No, there isn’t. Any length is welcome!
